Fort Portal Inception meeting

The Fort Portal inception meeting introduced the DataCities project with Fort Portal City Authorities and stakeholders, aiming to address urbanization challenges by developing resilient cities through data collection, analysis, capacity building, institutional strengthening, and data and AI use cases. The project involved engagement with academia, two universities, the Kabarole Research and Resource Center, and a radio talk show at a local FM radio station. The data exchange program also involved key informant interviews with leaders in the tourism sector. The initiative aimed to address challenges posed by Uganda's urbanization.
